Today
the enlightenment activity is not perceivable without using modern technologies.
In our work we put a main emphasis on purposeful use of video materials.
This choice is not by chance. In contrast to TV broadcasting, video network
allows to accumulate information and distribute it purposefully, reaching
the number of audience comparable with that, reached by TV. |
Researching the conditions of effective
use of video materials brought us to understanding the necessity to build
up regional video network on the base of large educational institutions
and cultural and educational establishments. As a result, we build up 56 videotheks in leading educational and enlightenment institutions
in Bryansk region. In addition, 26 videotheks
were given away to 20 regions in Russia.

Within
the framework of the project RSEE? to
form the fund of videotheks we established connections with Russian (9
organization), foreign and international producers of video films of ecological
content (7 organizations) and got free of charge video materials (more
than 100 ) with the right to make copies for use in non commercial purposes. |
To analyze video materials
and prepare instructions how to use those we attracted qualified experts
- methodologists, among those was the director of ecological and biological
center for managing education at the administration of Brynsk region N.A.
Kalinichev.

Parallel
with a printed catalog, we developed
an original electronic catalog, which
includes fragments and sequences of video films, annotation, text side-track,
methodological recommendations and search system, which allows to get effectively
the necessary information about each of the films of the videothek. |
